Miss Baby is 3 months old today!

She is quite the wonderful sleeper these days and the charmer - she smiles at all of us quite often and especially enjoys her siblings' attentions! She can "sit" propped on the couch for short bits and will tolerate being held by her brothers and sisters for a little while at a time.

Happy 3 months Miss Baby!!!

Just for fun - a quiz

We picked up a crate of diapers Saturday for Miss Baby -

How long do you think a crate of 264 diapers will last? I plan to mark the starting date when I begin using it (probably by the end of the week) and the last day I use any out of the box and see for myself - care to play along? There might even be a prize for the closest guess! We'll see...

Leave a comment with your guess (in days).

Little Dorritt

Anyone else watching? We watched part 2 last night - I have to say I was disappointed when it ended at 9:30 - I thought we had another half hour to go!

This is not a familiar Dickens work to me - I look forward to reading the book as well at some point in the future, but for now we're enjoying the movie on PBS very much.

Miss Baby - 2 mo. checkup

Well, Miss Baby had her 2 month checkup at the pediatrician a few days ago and got a great report. She is up to 10 lb. and 10 oz. and 23 inches long. She did well for the checkup until the dr. looked in her mouth w/the tongue depressor - Miss Baby did not like that and let us know about it for quite awhile thereafter until she finally calmed down.

Our babysitter was sick and therefore all 5 children went along for the visit - it got a bit chaotic towards the end - Mr. A was getting antsy and those rooms just aren't made for that many people to be in them w/o someone getting on someone else's nerves, but we made it through.

I'm happy to report Miss Baby is a happy, healthy baby!

Math U See again

I am proud to announce that Miss A has finished her Alpha level of Math U See and is ready to start Beta very soon. As a review today I ran through all the addition and subtraction math facts with her and after a little more review on subtraction, she will begin the Beta level!

Congrats Miss A - great job!!!

Crockpot recipes?

Hello all -

Just a quick post to ask y'all to share any crockpot recipes you use regularly and like - there are tons of recipes out there, but where to begin - it'd be great to use our crockpot a little more, especially on days we have to get out for piano lessons or doctor appointments.

Please share!!
