What are you having for Christmas dinner?

This morning at breakfast I asked the children what they'd like to have for Christmas dinner. The responses were very interesting:

Mr. E loudly proclaimed - DONUTS!

Mr. A chimed in with - BIRTHDAY CAKE!

Miss A replied - PIZZA?

Miss E said she had 3 suggestions...nachos, burritos, and frito pie - hmm, I see a theme here...

So...what are you having for Christmas dinner?

Our traditional English fare per dh's request with a few other family traditions of our own tossed in for good measure: steak and kidney pie, roast potatoes, brussel sprouts with chestnuts, tiny sausages wrapped in bacon, Grandmother's dressing, lashing of hot gravy, buckeyes, and mincemeat pie. Yum, yum!

Honey-baked ham, mashed potatoes, cauliflower with cheese, broccoli, spiced apple rings, dinner rolls.

We had prime rib roast, garlic potatoes, broccoli, steamed spinach with shitake mushrooms, ... you get the picture. I am in New York where my New York son in law cooked Christmas dinner. So, it's always different than my ususal turkey, cornbread dressing, that good ole southern fare. And, I've not had any SWEET tea since I got here. (grin)
