Alphabetical List of 50 States WITHOUT capitals or abbreviations

Alphabetical list of 50 states WITHOUT capitals or abbreviations

Well, today I needed a list of the 50 states to print and post on the wall for the children, but could I find one quickly? No. Not one without the capitals or some other info. that I didn't want right now. I just wanted a simple listing that I could print out or cut/paste and print. So, I typed them out. And here they are for some other person to possibly stumble upon and print in the future. Maybe noone will, who knows, but if I ever need them again, they'll be here. :)

Maybe if I'd felt like conducting numerous google searches all morning I'd have eventually found one, but I don't have that kind of time so I took the listing of states WITH CAPITALS AND ABBREVIATIONS and deleted the info. I didn't need and now I have the simplified listing, which is all we need at this point.

I love geography! Ah the days of learning the states and their capitals and countries and their capitals, continents, rivers, oceans, islands! Woo Hoo!

Make sure to teach the kiddos the states song!

(did you learn this in Middle School with Mrs Jackson - I did!)

Yes, the song remains in my memory and I always find myself beginning to sing it, but I get lost somewhere in the middle...oh well :) I guess the tune was semi-effective!

Let me know what you think.

Similar, but doesn't sound familiar past Michigan...maybe that's why I never can remember how the song goes past that point! I don't remember all that lead in part "nifty fifty, etc." - just the list of the states...oh well :)

Thanks for the list!! I was googling for a while looking for a plain list... I didn't know it would be so hard to find one!

That unformatted list is actually really useful. You're right: it's otherwise very hard to find on the internet. Thanks!

Thank you so much! I found this as the 3rd link on my first search, and I admit it, I was just too lazy type it out myself! I've bookmarked it for future use!
Thanks!

Thanks for this non-flashy basic list. Exactly what I needed without the grid or pictures all the other sites were tacking on.
